My name is Furqan Ahmed. I am a doctoral student in the field of GNSS meteorology and expecting to complete my Ph.D. in May 2015. The objectives of my current research include studying the potential of the use of GNSS in operational meteorology and climate variability analysis for Luxembourg and the Greater Region. RECENT PROJECT
"The Potential of Precipitable Water Vapour Measurements from Global Navigation Satellite Systems in Luxembourg" (PWVLUX) is a PhD project [2011-2015] funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR) Luxembourg and is aimed at studying the potential of using observations from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) in operational meteorology and climate variability studies.

I am looking for a postdoctoral opportunity as the next step in the growth of my research career. In order to broaden my expertise to new research areas, I am even open to those opportunities which may not be exactly similar to my doctoral research.
